Diasporican. A diaspora is when a people leave, often forced, their ancestral lands, the reasons for which are myriad and usually fueled by oppression and the search for freedom and independence. Puerto Ricans who are part of the diaspora to the U.S,. and other parts of the world, are Diasporicans.
